I am very impressed by this album, every track on it has substance and a interesting story. I had high expectations for this LP and let me tell you, he met them. So the 22nd comes and it's time to see what he's really made of. In my opinion one of the most anticipated albums of the year by far. The release date was set to be October 22nd. The track that really jump started his mainstream career was "Swimming Pools (Drank)", which is included in his debut album. Kendrick released a few tracks during the summer which Hip-Hop goers accepted and his rise begun. As soon as he released that he broke the news that he was also working on his debut album "good kid, m.A.A.d city". First one was "Section 80", an EP which was a bit anticipated by his underground fans, including myself. From there he announced he was working on a couple of projects. He signed with Shady Aftermath which Eminem and Dr. I did my research on him and he was in the middle of choosing a major label even though he has been with Top Dawg Entertainment for a bit. It was a really good tape and i wanted to hear more. His creativity and lyrics really moved me. So i decided to check out his music and i downloaded one of his mixtapes "Overly Dedicated".
